Zojirushi EB-CC15 Indoor Electric Grill Review
Editor Rating: 4.6/5
The only grill with a ceramic non-stick coating, the grilling surface of the Zojirushi EB-CC15 Indoor Electric Grill is chemical free, durable, and has better resistance to high temperatures.
Safety is the main priority when this grill was designed. The grill is not going to heat up unless all of its parts are aligned and properly installed. It has a safety hole which is a big factor in keeping the thermostat in place while you're cooking. Because of this, plugging in the thermostat is going to be a bit challenging but only on your first try.
The edge of this grill over the ones we previously reviewed is its ceramic non-stick coating. Although most people use Teflon as a non-stick coating, that doesn't mean that its the best non-stick coating for your kitchen items. Unlike Teflon, the ceramic coating is chemical free, durable and better resistance to high temperatures.
In terms of cooking, this grill is one of the best out there. It heats fast unlike most electric grills although not as fast as charcoal and gas grills. Not only that, it heats evenly and cooks well. It does have minimal smoke and splatterings which is quite common among electric grills when cooking fatty and marinated foods depends on what you're cooking.

Features
Physical Attributes
This grill is very stylish particularly its grilling surface. As you can see, the grilling surface has those openings that you see on most grills but at the same time, some sections look exactly like the ribbed surface of a griddle plate.
This grill is specifically made for indoor grilling and will fit in a small kitchen counter because it has a compact size. It is definitely space saving and at the same time lightweight. Because of these qualities, this grill is easy to carry and store. While most grills have short cords, this grill has a long cord and is one of the best qualities of this grill that is worth mentioning. This way, you can place the grill anywhere without worrying too much about the distance between the grill and the outlet.
Temperature
Like most grills, this grill also has the ability to adjust and control the temperature. But unlike the other grills, this grill heats up quickly and cooks evenly which is a rare quality in most electric grills.
Cooking
As have been mentioned, the grill heats up quickly and cooks evenly therefore cooking is faster and takes a little effort. You don't have to wait too long to eat your food. Plus, the cooking surface of the grill is large enough for a family of four. Because of the raised ridges and openings on the cooking surface, the grill easily collects excess oil and fat and goes directly to the drip pan which helps keep your food healthy. Note: The drip pan can't easily be removed while you're cooking but then there is really no need to remove the drip pan while you're cooking because the drip pan is large and will take a long time to fill it up.
Safety
When it comes to safety, it is best to read the instruction manual before you start assembling and cooking. This manufacturer of this grill placed the highest emphasis on safety. Unless the drip tray and cooking grid are aligned and in place, the grill won't heat up. Because of this, plugging and unplugging the thermostat is not going to be as easy as the ones with a built-in thermostat or those with the ordinary plug-in thermostat. It is not as easy, but definitely not difficult. It is going to be challenging at first as you're still trying to get to know the grill but as long as you read the instructions carefully, it is going to be very easy. Just keep in mind that the special thermostat that this grill is using is made that way as an extra safety precaution that way you feel safe and confident when using the grill. The grill is cULus listed which means it passed the safety standards in both the US and Canada.
Cleaning
The grill produces little to none smoke and splatterings. Since the grill has no lid, you can work around this by using aluminum foil as covering. It helps cooking and reduces splattering when you cook splatter-prone foods like fatty or marinated meat.
While the grilling surface cannot be submerged in water, it is still easy to clean because it has ceramic non-stick coating instead of Teflon. Ceramic non-stick coating has several advantages and chemical free compared with Teflon.
